At Tiny Collections, we are passionate about what we do and how we work. From the very beginning, it was essential to us to find a balance between creating a profitable business model and finding a way to give back to the community.
It saddens us that the news today is filled with negative stories about how we are impacting the environment. We think this should change and that every business should be accountable when it impacts the environment negatively. We asked ourselves a question. Is there a way our business can give back, and if so what can we do?
After a bit of research we found One Tree Planted Charity, based in Vermont and that’s how this little initiative was born.
“One Tree Planted is a 501c3 non-profit based in Vermont that is focused on global reforestation. We plant in 4 regions around the world – North America, South America, Asia and Africa. We work with amazing reforestation partners that are the experts in the field who have been planting in these regions for years. They work with the local communities and ensure that the proper tree species are planted, optimal tree survival rates are obtained and a sustainable model is in place”
Planting trees is such a simple and effective way to make an impact. Trees clean the air we breathe and the water we drink. They help stabilize our climate, provide habitat for biodiversity, and create sustainable jobs.
We believe our nursery prints and the start to your child’s journey should also parallel towards improving the environment and making a difference in the world. So with every one print bought, a tree will be planted. You can hang up your pictures on the wall knowing that your little contribution is having an impact on the planet.
